This planetarium, built in 1967, provides excellent simulation of the heavens as seen from any point on the earth at any time. The Spitz A-4 Projector presents the sun, moon, major planets, and more than 1,200 stars on the 30 foot dome while numerous slide and special-effect projectors are used to portray other dramatic celestial phenomena.
