Starboards is more than a coffee shop. You not only get the best coffee in Hampton Roads but you become a friend. My favorite coffee is an Iced Coffee made with Coffee Cubes. Yes, they do not use iced cubes they use cubes made of coffee so you will never have a watered down iced coffee.

Starboards is a delightful spot to stop for coffee, a bite to eat, the morning paper, or information. The Cartiers will be your friends in Portsmouth. An excellent experience for the traveler..and I am one!

What can I say? It's all good! I've been a friend and patron of Starboards since 2005. The consistent quality of the delicious coffee is exceeded only by the hospitality and the view of the Elizabeth River at High Street Landing is spectacular. This is a local establishment that sells the freshest locally made food items and high quality beverages. The staff's highest priority is customer satisfaction and they work very hard and long hours to achieve that goal. I highly recommend a visit to this establishment. What more could you ask for when you're looking for great coffee and atmosphere to boot! Dave and Betsy are the nicest people you could know and are always glad to see you. Remember that show "Cheers!", yah, it's like that, minus the bar. :D
