The boyhood home of Thomas Jefferson, this National Historic Landmark is "considered by architectural historians to be the finest existing early 18th century plantation in America." Original outbuildings along Plantation Street make Tuckahoe "one of the most complete early 18th century plantation layouts in North America." The grounds and gardens are open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a fee. House tours are by appointment only.
