Holiday Lights at the Beach

"Hampton Roads’ favorite holiday destination," this magnificent Christmas event lasts for almost a month and a half, starting in November, and features 25 blocks of over 250 animated nautical and holiday themed light displays along the boardwalk, as well as surfing Santas, giant gift-wrapped packages, and a three story Christmas tree.

Held annually in Virginia Beach, Virginia since 1963, ECSC is North America's oldest running surfing competition and the second oldest continuously-run surfing contest in the world. Hundreds will compete for cash prizes in surfing, skimboarding, volleyball, a 5K run, swimsuit competition, and skateboarding. Live bands will perform on an oceanfront stage.
