Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Virginia Landmarks Register, and the Virginia Civil War Trails Location, this historic house dates back to the early 19th century and it is the oldest surviving wood structure in Waynesboro. This historic house sat between the battle lines of the Battle of Waynesboro and maps are available that feature the battlefield location of various military units involved. Exhibits inside the home include artifacts derived from excavations on site.
