Colonial Williamsburg's latest Christmas book complements its earlier ones, yet is very different. First, its stunning photographs by Eric Kvalsvik show the historic interiors as they look today . Second, it tells, for the first time, the fascinating history of holiday decoration from colonial times through to the end of the twentieth century, and how these traditions evolved into our own decorating customs today. The last chapter takes a look at 18th century Christmas decorating in non-colonial homes to show how colonial decorating has been adapted to different architectural styles.
