One of the finest regional history and art museums in New England, this museum houses the largest public collection of Grandma Moses paintings and memorabilia, along with the schoolhouse she attended as a child. Other historical artifacts that can also be discovered in the museum include children's toys, maps, books, military artifacts, an extensive array of American glass from the 19th to the early 20th century, vintage portraits of early settlers by Ammi Phillips, examples of abolitionist newspapers by William Lloyd Garrison and the world's largest collection of Bennington pottery.
