More than 600 native New England birds and mammals in over 125 small dioramas, one of the largest collections of its type in the Northeast; are on exhibit at the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum. Most of these wild animal specimens were collected by Luman Ranger Nelson during the 1920's and 1930's.
