Beautifully situated on 1,000 acres in the heart of the Vermont countryside, in the Rutland/Killington area, The Owl's Nest is the perfect place for a weekend getaway or extended family vacation. The three historic working Vermont farms on the property date from 1779 to 1880, and are home to a herd of 30 show quality llamas, a flock of rare Jacob sheep, chickens, and Icelandic horses. The Nest is spacious and comfortable, with kitchen, dining room, living room, study, porch with marble floor, four bedrooms (sleeps8) and three full baths. The Nest is fully equipped for a relaxing stay, with sheets & towels, utensils and an abundance of coveniences such as ice cream, cocoa, waffle and coffee makers, an outside gas grill and picnic table, along with a nice selection of books, games and videos, and a cozy fireplace for cool evenings at the end of the day.
