Usually frozen solid from December to April, the two-mile-long Lake Morey Ice Skating Trail in Vermont's Green Mountains is America's longest recreational ice skating trail. Located just off Interstate 91 at Exit 15 in Fairlee, Vermont, the Upper Valley Trails Alliance-maintained Lake Morey Ice Skating Trail runs the entire length of the lake, from the Hulbert Outdoor Center at the north end to the Lake Morey Resort in the south, passing the Montshire Skating Club's groomed racing oval.
