Situated on the Long Beach Peninsula's most northern tip, Leadbetter Point State Park was named in honor of Lt. Danville Leadbetter of the United States Coast Survey. It is home to several types of waterfowl and animals, including as many as 100 species of birds, and also offers four hiking trails.
