The Silverwater Café was established in 1989. They have catered over a hundred weddings, dozens of private parties and office parties. The restaurant is owned by Alison Hero and David Hero. Alison has been cooking professionally since she was 12. She oversees the kitchen, and the production for catering. David is the lead baker, baking all of the wedding cakes and desserts for the restaurant. Their first cookbook, "Golden Moments at the Silverwater Café" was published in 1999. They also carry a line of spice blends. Originally developed for use in their kitchen, by popular demand they now sell them retail.
