Built as a vaudeville and performing arts house in 1914, the Mineral Point Opera House "attracted some of the country's outstanding artists and productions of live drama, grand opera and symphonic music." "One of the few remaining film and performing arts houses in Wisconsin," the Mineral Point Opera House "runs a combination of quality mainstream, independent and art films, interspersed with live local and national music, dance and theatrical presentations." It is also the home of the Shakerag Players and the Mineral Point Film Society and is the perfect place for conferences, meetings and weddings.
