More than two dozen life size bronze statues are planned for the Mississippi River Sculpture Park on St. Feriole Island, situated above the confluence of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers. These sculptures will help visitors learn the "stories and lives of the men and women who shaped the Upper Mississippi River Valley on the land now called Prairie du Chien" for more than 12,000 years. Dr. William Beaumont, Chief Shingawasin, Judith and Nina Dousman, Zachary Taylor, and Nicholas Perrot will be just a few of those astonishing personalities. more... map
