The objectives of NSDAR are to promote patriotism, foster an enlightened public, and historic preservation. All women 18 years and older who can trace their lineage back to the Revolutionary War are eligible for membership. Persons under the age of 18 are eligible for membership in Children of the American Revolution, and men are eligible for membership in Sons of the American Revolution.
