he Jefferson County Memorial Park was incorporated in 1949 and was made possible by a land donation from the late Dr. and Mrs. G. P. Morison. The park is located on South Mildred Street in historic Charles Town, WV. Today the park offers a 40’ x 75’ public swimming pool, a 20’ x 20’ wading pool, three tennis courts, two basketball courts, a softball field, several playground areas, four pavilions and a Veterans’ Memorial. Additionally, a paved walking trail that measures 7/10 of a mile was constructed in 2004.
