I called on July 20, 2011 and made reservations for 2 nights for July 29 & 30.I had to pay 100. advance by check ONLY they said so I mailed it out on July 21. On July 23 I broke my foot and was in hospital. I called them on July 25. to tell them I could not come those dates and asked if I could get a refund or just change the dates. I was told I could NOT get a refund or could not even change reservation dates, it didnt matter my reason. That the ONLY way I could get my money back was if I rented my room to someone myself. I even sent them copies of my hospital release forms verifying I was not lying about my reason, but the owner was VERY rude and said she didnt care what my reason was. I will still go to the area probably in the spring but I WILL NOT make a reservation at the Cheat River Lodge. Beware if you make a reservation with them, you could be making a donation .
