Open from May through October, the circa 1890 Whipple Company Store & Appalachian Heritage Educational Museum celebrates the cultural heritage of the West Virginia coal miner and their families. Daily tours are available. Visitors can see a hand operated freight elevator, the original post office, telephone operators station, secret second floor, original security system, third floor ballroom, organ playing the waltz, two walk-in safes and much more.
