The Shepherdstown Sweet Shop Bakery is housed in a 200-year-old building in the oldest town in West Virginia. In 1982 Howard Butcher, who received his training in Bavaria, established this bakery and the tradition of baking Old World style breads and desserts. Since then the Sweet Shop has served customers nationwide with delicious whole-grain breads and their famous Holiday Stolen.
