Snowshoe Mountain, the largest winter resort in the Mid-Atlantic, boasts a 1,500 foot vertical drop, 57 slopes and trails with 14 slopes open for night skiing, and has 1.5 mile long run. For summer travelers, there are miles of mountain biking, hiking, and horse trails cross the resort's 11,000 acres. Private and group snowboard and skiing lessons are available. Also for your enjoyment is the public Raven Golf Club at Snowshoe Mountain, designed by Gary Player, featuring rolling terrain and long fairways.
