Visited by Buffalo Bill Cody, Teddy Roosevelt, General Phil Sheridan, Calamity Jane, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, the award-winning restored Occidental Hotel offers suites and rooms that are individually decorated with antiques, many of which are original to the Occidental Hotel. A 25-foot back bar with stained glass accents, 23 original bullet holes, an intricately embossed tin ceiling and period decorations have been preserved and restored in the circa 1908 Occidental Saloon. Buffalo steaks are the specialty of the Virginian Restaurant. Prime rib, filet mignon, seafood, and more can also be enjoyed.
