Open from May through October, the 18,000 square foot Nelson Museum of the West is dedicated to preserving cowboy and Native American art. It features a collection of more than 6,000 artifacts and more than 20 exhibits containing art, sculpture and artifacts in 11,000 square feet of gallery space. A doctor's buggy, firearms, Indian weaponry, military uniforms and more can be seen at the Nelson Museum of the West.
