Situated among the pines just east of Yellowstone at the foot of Cody Peak, Buffalo Bill's historic lodge listed on the National Historic Register is the closest lodging establishment to Yellowstone's east entrance in the Shoshone National Forest. Pahaska is "a complete mountain community" that offers modern cabin-style rooms, a full-service bar and restaurant, gift shop, fuel, a convenience store, trout fishing, and seasonal horseback riding and cross-country skiing. The three original homesteader cabins are located in front between the main lodge and Buffalo Bill’s original Lodge.
