Founded in a tent in 1879, the Occidental Hotel quickly became one of the most renowned hotels in Wyoming. Located near the Bozeman Trail at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains, it was visited by many legendary characters of the Old West as they traveled along the trail. You are invited to enjoy one of the fourteen superbly restored period suites, a wonderful restaurant on the exact spot where the hotel was founded in 1878, a banquet hall and conference center and one of the most beautiful saloons in all of the West. There is also a museum on site that holds artifacts from past years.
