The Strater Hotel has been the centerpiece of Historic Durango since 1887. Walk into the lobby and lose a century. Memorabilia of historical significance fill display cases throughout the hotel. Each of our 93 guest rooms is appointed with hand-painted wallpaper, custom made window dressings, and authentic American Victorian-era antiques. The Strater is a showcase of entertainment, history and hospitality, and is the essence of a Durango experience for both locals and visitors. Deluxe rooms are gracefully appointed with spectacular and often rare antiques. These romantic rooms feature more elegant and elaborate wallcoverings and window treatments along with larger bathrooms and nightly turn down service. There are a variety of bed combinations in this room type.

Premium rooms are the most regal of the Strater guestrooms, with upgraded accessories such as bathrobes and compact disc players, and turn-down service is an automatic upgrade. Overlooking historic downtown Durango, some Premium rooms feature small sitting areas.
