The Ulu Factory is the maker of the most renowned knife in Alaska, the ulu, which was invented by the Inuit (Eskimo) people of northern Alaska centuries ago for, among other things, hunting, fishing, skinning, and filleting. Originally a cutting tool made of slate and bone, today's version is manufactured from stainless steel and provided with a hardwood handle.
