The annual National Shrimp Festival is held each year during the second full weekend in October on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. "One of the nation's premier outdoor festivals," the National Shrimp Festival features more than 250 fine art and arts & crafts vendors, a retail marketplace, family-friendly sand sculpture contest, 10K/5K run/walk, musical entertainment, children's activities and lots of shrimp.
