  Opened in October 1955, Little Rock Air Force Base is the home of the 314th Airlift Wing, the host unit which reports to Air Education and Training Command, two major associate units, the 463rd Airlift Group and the U.S. Air Force Mobility Weapons School, the 189th Airlift Wing of the Arkansas Air National Guard, and the 189th AW.
