Bisbee 1000 Great Stair Climb

This event takes place on the third Saturday in October. Those entering this event will traverse nine set of steps (over 1,000 steps total) and back-roads at a mile-high altitude. The entrants are serenaded by muscians along the route. A great fundraising event and fun for the whole family.

Fiesta de las Aves (Festival of the Birds) features a variety of activities for birders and other wildlife enthusiasts. The festival is a traveling affair, with activities taking place at a series of outstanding birding locations in Cochise and Santa Cruz counties, including the Huachuca and Chiricahua Mountains, San Pedro River, and Patagonia, and across the border in northern Sonora. This festival format encourages broader participation from visitors, residents, volunteers, businesses, and organizations, reduces the cost of most field trips, and spreads the economic benefits of birding tourism to more communities.
