The trestle is the last remaining structure left from the former Black Canyon Route.

Montrose County Historical Museum Corner of Main & Rio Grande, 970-249-2085, Located in the old depot, this fascinating museum features historic buggies and wagons, farm implements, and a completely furnished homesteader's cabin. It also houses a country store, railroad memorabilia, Indian artifacts, and musical instruments. It is open daily Mid May through September.

Ute Indian Museum & Ouray Memorial Park 2983 Chipeta Drive, Montrose, CO 81402, Two Miles South of Montrose, 970-249-3098, Dedicated to commemorating the lives and culture of the Ute People, this museum is located on the farm that once belonged to the famous Ute leader, Ouray.
