History of Daytona with Harold Cardwell

Take a journey back in time to 1875 and the beginnings of Daytona, 25 settlers and log cabins in the wilderness, with historian and author Harold Cardwell. Hear the stories of the people who settled and developed the area prior to World War I and through the boom years before the Depression. The famous beach was a runway for airplanes before auto racing and the development of tourism. A lecture in the auditorium is scheduled from 2 to 3 pm and a book signing will take place after that.

Bandshell Concert Series
Located on the Boardwalk
Enjoy this outdoor, oceanfront concert series every Saturday evening from May through October in the historic Bandshell on the Daytona Beach Boardwalk. Music styles include jazz, big band, Dixieland, country, R&B, Latin, folk, and much more and concert-goers are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy music under the stars.
