Future plans call for reconstruction of other structures of the fort including the officer's quarters, hospital, blacksmith shop, oven and brewery and additional sentry boxes. Long after the fort was abandoned, sawmills were erected on the site, eliminating traces of fortifications. The "Switzer's map" was drawn on site in 1721 and was found in the file of the British Public Records Office in London.
