Bartram Forest Carl Vinson Road, Milledgeville, GA 31061, Located off U.S. Highway 441 South, 478-445-2119, This forest was inhabited by Native Americans in 1794 and today offers educational hiking trails which allow visitors to see centuries of abundant wildlife, natural wetlands, and an erosion ravine with soil that is a remnant of the ancient shallow seas that covered Georgia 50 to 100 million years ago.
