This 4,000-acre Kankakee River State Park, teeming with wildlife is located on both sides of the Kankakee River for 11 miles. It features twelve miles of cross-country ski trails, a three-mile hiking trail, limestone canyons, a lovely waterfall, and a twelve-mile equestrian trail, as well as biking trails, canoeing, fishing, camping, snowmobile trails, picnic areas with shelters, hunting, and two boat ramps for launching craft with motors of 10 horsepower or less. more...

This spring fed quarry of 12 acres offers a unique diving experience with seven shallow 25 ft. platforms, a 75 ft. platform, two covered docks for deep entry, a sunken cabin cruiser, fish condos and eight varieties of fish.
