  This majestic old courthouse was built in the summer of 1872, of limestone and red brick. The architecture structure is Second Empire Revival. The original Mansard Roof was replaced in 1890.   map

  This beautiful Eastlake style Victorian structure, maintained by the McDonough County Historical Preservation Society, was built by W. S. Bailey, founder and first president of Union National Bank of Macomb. It features hard wood and parquet floors, wood and iron fireplaces, elegant lighting fixtures and a large elaborate cherry staircase. The main floor of the Old Bailey House is open to the public on weekdays from 9am-5pm, and weekends by appointment.   map
