Santa on the Bayou
Begins Near St. Joseph's Church

Santa and his elves plan to launch their floating sleigh and proceed the 15-miles down Petit Caillou Bayou to arrive at the end of Cocodre at 12:30 p.m. Santa and his elves will be throwing fishing tackle and candy to kids (of all ages) that have lined the bayou banks. Held in December.

Annual International Fishing Rodeo

The Terrebonne Sportsman League sponsors this annual international fishing rodeo. The events will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for offshore, shoreline, blue water, fresh water and scuba. Held in August.

Ala Bayou Terrebonne Christmas Boat Parade

Enjoy the parade of boats that are decorated for the season (large and small) with Santa leading on the first boat. Parade begins at dusk at the Fire Station in Bourg then travels Bayou Terrebonne to Montegut and ends one mile past Sacred Heart Church. Held in December.
