Joyce Wildlife Management Area Located 2 Miles South of Ponchatoula, 225-765-23600, Joyce Wildlife Management Area is a 16,394 acre tract located in southern Tangipahoa Parish. This entire area is a wetland within the Pontchartrain Basin and consists primarily of cypress-tupelo swamp. There are public boat launches at the North Pass bridge along LA Highway 51. An elevated boardwalk provides visitors access to view swamp wildlife and vegetation.
