The Shreveport Sports will open the 96-game baseball season on May 8th at El Paso. The Sports will open their sixth home season at Fair Grounds Field on Tuesday, May 13th against Grand Prairie, one of the two new teams in the American Association. The 48-game home schedule will include eight Thursday, Friday and Saturday games, and seven Sunday and Tuesday games. This parade travels through Shreveport featuring several entries of large floats, marching bands, and plenty of throws. The parade will start in downtown Shreveport at Lake Street and Clyde Fant Parkway, will proceed south down the parkway to Shreveport-Barksdale Highway, then west to East Kings Highway, from East Kings Highway to Preston Street where the parade will end. It will begin at 4:30 p.m.
