Kick up the heat and your heels at the Annual Kiwanis Pepper Festival® from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., under the historic Evangeline Oak in St. Martinville. Dance to red hot bands. Get ready for the "Go HOT or go home!" scorching pepper eating contest or simply enjoy the taste-temping goodies on site. Bring the family for cool games for the kids and shop the crafts on display. Parades
Mardi Gras Newcomer's Parade 337-394-2233
Takes place the Sunday before Mardi Gras at 1 p.m. The parade will travel down Highway 31 starting at St. Martinville Senior High School, ending at Main & Denier Streets.
