Red Jacket Trail

This five and a half mile long trail begins at the downtown Depot and then winds along the riverfront towards the village of Rapidan; the trail passes over three railroad trestles, including the historic Red Jacket Trestle, which is eighty feet in height, and five hundred fifty feet in length, passing over the Le Sueur River. map

The Mount Kato Ski Area features nineteen runs, with a two-thousand-eight-hundred-foot run as the longest, a two-hundred-forty-foot vertical drop, five quad lifts, three double lifts, two handle tows, and specially designed snow tubes; free adult lessons are available when renting equipment, and mountain biking trails are offered in the summer. map
