An annual tribute to writer Tennessee Williams by seeing who does the best Stanley Kowalski impression as he yells for, who else...Stella! The character, Stella, from Williams' play "Streetcar Named Desire" will stand on the theater balcony while contestants give their best yell. Prizes will be awarded. Festivities will begin at 4 p.m.

Annual Mardi Pardi Eco Adventure Run & Kayak Races

Get ready to run, paddle, and let the good times roll with an Eco Adventure Race 5K Run and 2-mile kayak biathlon. Participants can compete in either one or both of the races. Mardi Gras season on the coast entertains over 450,000 enthusiastic bystanders. You can cheer and reach for the “treasures”–beads, stuffed animals, logoed cups, doubloons, MoonPies and more–that will be thrown from the elaborately decorated floats sponsored by different Mardi Gras Krewes in the three coastal counties.
