Fly Fishing Discovery Center

Owned by the Federation of Fly Fishers, the Fly Fishing Discovery Center is a museum and education center that is located in the Lincoln School Building in Livingston's historic district. The FFDC’s Tackle Room chronicles the history of fly fishing with displays of rods, reels, lines, float tubes and art. The Fly Room features thousands of flies tied by masters from around the world. Offering a constantly expanding body of fly fishing books and journals, the Lewis A. Bell Memorial Fly Fishing Library is also available to visitors, writers and researchers. Built in 1902, the historic Livingston Depot was the Northern Pacific Railroad's original access to Yellowstone National Park. Operated by the Livingston Depot Foundation, this museum is dedicated to preserving the historic Livingston Depot. Located in the former North Side School, the Yellowstone Gateway Museum of Park County houses an extensive collection of artifacts and exhibits relating to the history of Park County, Yellowstone Park, the railroad, area pioneers, and the Old West. Available natural history, prehistory and geology items include ice age artifacts, a player piano, vintage clothing and furniture, photos, oral histories, and birth, death and cemetery records. map
