Bonito Lake Located off Highway 37, Ruidoso, NM 88345, 505-336-4157 or 505-439-4240, The most scenic lake in the Ruidoso area and a reservoir for Alamogordo, Bonito Lake's public fishing season runs from April 1 to November 30, depending on the weather. It is stocked frequently. Boating and swimming are not allowed. Besides fishing, visitors can enjoy hiking and camping.
