Situated on the grounds of the award-winning Beaver Area Heritage Museum, the 1802 log house is a center for education where demonstrations of the lifestyle and everyday living conditions faced by typical frontier families in 1802 take place. Filled with authentic furnishings, this restored log house was built of logs hand-cut from local oaks and was originally located at the corner of Buffalo Street and Georgetown Lane. The Research Center for Beaver County is a non-circulating library of local history that includes the Beaver County Genealogical Society's collection of books and other research material. It is open on Mondays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. map
