Historic Homes & Buildings

Jacob Nicholas House (circa 1807) 5th and Ferry Streets, Easton, PA 18042, 610-253-1222, Maintained by the Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society, the restored Jacob Nicholas House is named for its first resident, who lived there from 1807 until 1832. The home is listed in the Pennsylvania Inventory of Historic Places and includes authentic furnishings. The Jacob Nicholas House is opened by appointment only.

Parsons/Taylor House (circa 1757) 60 South 4th Street at Ferry Street, Easton, PA 18042, 610-759-5554, One of the oldest surviving homes in Easton, the Parsons/Taylor House was built for Easton’s founding father William Parsons. In 1780, George Taylor, a signer of the Declaration of Independence; moved into the home. Easton’s George Taylor Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution maintains the Parsons/Taylor House as a historical landmark and museum.
