This beautiful historic building began as a Chancery Court plus served as the first telegraph office of Cheraw and the headquarters for the Confederate and Union quartermasters. The last Anglican church built in South Carolina under King George III, this historic church was used by the Americans and the British during the American Revolution and later by both the Confederate and Union armies. The first Confederate Monument ever built is located in the cemetery on the grounds of this church, as well as the graves of Alexander Gregg and famous steamboat commander Moses Rogers. map

Each year over three million bass, bream, catfish, and 14 species of other warm water fish are raised in 31 production ponds to supply lakes and farmponds at this fish hatchery that features an aquarium for close-up views plus offers picnic tables on site. Tours are available.
