Poker Alice House (circa 1895) 1802 South Junction Avenue, Sturgis, SD 57785, 605-347-2506, This historic house was the home of "Poker Alice", a notorious card shark, cigar smoker, and expert gun handler. Daily tours are available from Memorial Day to Labor Day. There is also lodging available that include four guest rooms with private and shared baths. map


Historic Sites & Monuments

Fort Meade Museum & Cemetery 201 Highway 34, Sturgis, SD 55785, 605-347-9822, Open from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day, this is the site of the Frontier Cavalry Outpost, the home of the "Star Bangled Banner." Museum exhibits, a historic cemetery, and VA medical facilities are on site. Tours are available.


Museums & Galleries

Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame Corner of Fourth & Historic Main Streets, 605-347-0849, A variety of rare and unique American, British, and Asian motorcycles and scooters are located at this museum with dates ranging from the early 1900s to modern day. Special exhibits, memorabilia, and a gift shop are also on site.
