Hall of State (circa 1936) 3939 Grand Avenue, Dallas, TX 75202, Located at Fair Park, 214-421-0281, Among the features of this structure is The Great Hall that is highlighted by an immense gold seal with symbols representing the six nations of which Texas was a part of and two huge murals depicting major events in the history of the state. Known as one of the best examples of Texas Art Deco, this building also houses bronze statues in its Hall of Heroes and the various rooms showcase a variety of decors. Union Station (circa 1914) 400 South Houston Street, Dallas, TX 75202, 214-653-1101, A vintage station that once was the hub of train transportation for the Southwest, this station is now home to Amtrak, the Downtown DART Light Rail and commuter stations, and the Trinity Railway Express.
