  This annual six day fair take place in August and features traditional country fair activities such as livestock shows, horseshoe tosses, a chicken parade, judged floral exhibits, pet shows, sheep shows, and bull riding. A musical concert is also part of the activities, as well as the crowning of Miss Clarke County, homemaking exhibits, carnival rides, pig scrambles, and a demolition derby.

  Taking place each November before Thanksgiving, this annual event offers a choice of running a one and a half, three, or six mile race on a mile and a half loop of grass and pathways through a park. Awards are given for the man and woman who place first in each race, as well as for categories based on age group. After the races, there is a drawing of names for frozen turkeys to be distributed to the winners.
