Driftwood Players, began in the late 1950's by a few cast members of the Civic Choir production of Pajama Game. In 1981, the Christian Science Society in Aberdeen decided to move to a smaller building. Driftwood found that it was a perfect site and with some major internal remodeling, turned it into one of the Northwest's finest community theatres.

Hoquiam's 7th Street Theatre was built in 1928. Featuring an atmospheric ceiling mural with recessed twinkling lights, and a tiled fountain in the lobby, the theatre is a beautiful and unique venue. It was placed on the National Register for Historic Places in 1987. With over 950 seats, it's a large venue for concerts, movies, and stage shows. The venue hosts several performances each month, and regularly features classic movies on certain weekends each year.
